Speaker: Randy Lopez, Founder/Chief Instigator, JAKE Agency

Randy Lopez is the Founder and "Chief Instigator" of The Jake Agency, an innovative full-service brand agency as well as a member of Synergy Consultants and co-founder of  Ophelia's Jump

Known as a creative thinker and brand visionary, Randy has previously held VP Marketing roles at Del Taco, Buca di Beppo, Ruby’s Diner, and executive marketing positions at Arnold Palmer Golf Management and TGI Friday’s. He has also developed integrated advertising campaigns and brand strategies for a client list that includes Toshiba, Tommy Bahama, Red Robin, Slater’s 50/50, Wolfgang Puck, Häagen-Dazs International Cafes and Robbins Brothers with two leading ad agencies: G&M Plumbing and Johnson Gray.

With this experience, his passion is driving traffic and sales through public relations programs, guerrilla marketing and local marketing tactics for brands that want to drive traffic with little to no budgets. 

More than a traditional marketing practitioner, his operations background allows him to understand the specific challenges organizations face as well as strategic resources needed to grow the global “brand”.

He is a frequent guest lecturer on the topics of field marketing tactics, brand building, and public relations appearing at the National Restaurant Association Marketing Executives Group, Word of Mouth Supergenius Conference, UCLA Restaurant Industry Conference, Alaska CHARR, Multicultural Marketing events for the PRSA and International Group of Department Stores (IGDS) among others.

As a featured spokesperson for the Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) and Stage 4 cancer survivor, he is a nationally recognized speaker and motivator. He was featured on CNN’s Special Investigation: Saving Your Life hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Recently, Randy appeared on CBS HealthWatch™: Colorectal Cancer / Digestive Health Awareness Webcast hosted by Dr. Travis Stork of The Doctors.

Randy has been featured in numerous publications including BRANDweek, Adweek,, Nation’s Restaurant News, and Restaurants & Institutions. He serves on the Board of Directors for the following: CA Restaurant Association - OC Chapter, The Colon Cancer Coalition, and Ophelia's Jump Productions. Locally, he is an executive board member and incoming Chair of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.
