His career has been devoted to counseling leaders of all types who face challenging situations and what he calls, "career defining moments." Most of his troubled clients tend to bear a large responsibility for the trouble they and their organizations find themselves in. He is an expert in the pathology of management, leadership and organizational misbehavior. He has had clients in these issue areas for three decades.
Jim has served on BEPS for more than 30 years. He is one of the eight original members of the BEPS PRSA Code of Ethics redesign team lead by Bob Frause APR, Fellow PRSA, Seattle, whose work, with consultants and others, resulted in unanimous adoption of the current PRSA Code of Ethics by the PRSA Assembly in 2000. In 2015 the PRSA National Board appointed him PRSA’s first BEPS Member Emeritus.
