NEW COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER- City of Santa Cruz

The City of Santa Cruz is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the City's new Communications Manager/Public Information Officer. This will be an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to establish the citywide communications function and serve on the City Manager's management team. NEW Communications Manager INFORMATION OFFICER II- California Governor's Office of Emergency Services

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Crisis Communication and Public Affairs, the Communication Manager oversees the daily public information and media relations functions of Cal OES relating to disaster recovery, state disaster assistance and other authorities under the California Disaster Assistance Act and California Emergency Services Act.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, directing, and implementing communications plans, including marketing, community relations, public relations, and increasing the public's awareness of Cal OES’ services, successes, and accomplishments relating to disaster recovery. Information Officer I will be responsible for increasing the public and media’s awareness of Cal OES’ role in keeping California disaster resilient. NEW INFORMATION OFFICER I (SPECIALIST)- California Governor's Office of Emergency Services

The Information Officer I will be responsible for increasing the public and media’s awareness of Cal OES’ role in keeping California disaster resilient. This will be done through developing and implementing communications plans, including marketing, community relations and outreach, and public relations. The Information Officer I will work within one of the most dynamic and fast-moving public information teams in California State service to provide internal and external products and situational awareness to emerging threats or incidents across the state.
