Individual & Team Awards

Each year, PRSA Inland Empire recognizes outstanding dedication and service to the chapter, the Inland Empire region, and the public relations profession through several special awards. These honors celebrate individuals and teams whose contributions strengthen our chapter and advance the practice of public relations.

Award recipients are selected through a review process conducted by members of the PRSA Inland Empire Board of Directors.

Aaron Norris Spirit of PR Award

Named in honor of Aaron Michael Norris, APR, who passed away on July 1, 2022, this award celebrates the spirit of leadership, service, and generosity that defined his career and life. Aaron was a past president of PRSA Inland Empire, a former chair of the PRSA Western District, and a beloved mentor and friend to many.

With a deep passion for philanthropy and community impact, Aaron believed in giving back and lifting others up. This award honors individuals and organizations that carry forward his legacy.

Individual Award

Recognizes a public relations professional who has demonstrated outstanding service to:

  • The public relations profession
  • PRSA Inland Empire
  • The Inland Empire community


Nominations must be submitted by a PRSA member. Nominees are not required to be PRSA members.

Organization / Team Award

Recognizes an organization or team that has demonstrated exceptional performance and innovation in public relations and communications over the past year. Honorees exemplify creativity, adaptability, and a strong commitment to excellence, setting a benchmark for others in the industry.

Young Professional of The Year Award

This award recognizes an exceptional early-career public relations professional who demonstrates strong commitment to the profession, the community, and the future of PR leadership.

Eligibility Requirements

Nominees must:

  • Be a current member of PRSA Inland Empire at the time of nomination
  • Be actively involved in chapter activities (professional development, volunteering, mentoring, Polaris Awards, etc.)
  • Demonstrate outstanding commitment to and enthusiasm for the public relations profession
  • Have seven or fewer years of experience in the public relations industry
